Their vision entailed every project member had to work in a central, cloud-based document and knows exactly what their tasks and privileges are. Additionally, the ability for their clients to influence their roadmap is much more than a statement of intent. It is part of their contract and formalized in their Service Level Agreement. It is known as the Software Advisory Council process and involves agreeing changes to PublishOne with all participants, with each participant having an equal vote.
